What our customers say about our trips...

"It is quite hard to put into a few words what this trip meant to me , but I do know that I think about what I saw, learnt and experienced in some way nearly every day. It was a very special opportunity to see the project operating ‘on the ground’ and in so many diverse and beautiful locations. I think one of the reasons I would strongly urge anyone considering making a similar trip is that at no point did I feel like an intruder or an outsider ‘looking in’ on the lives of others; rather every meeting with the makers was so joyful and always spent walking, sitting or making together, sharing equally as women our thoughts and experiences. It was one of the most incredible things I have ever done and I will always be grateful to Fritha for making what I have tried to describe above - as well as all the indescribable memories - possible" - Ngaire, A Journey to Women's Empowerment: South India 2018.

"This is a unique opportunity to hear the stories of what life is like for many women in India and to understand how this wonderful social enterprise is making such a difference to their lives. Every group is different and you will be alternately touched, inspired and uplifted. The route takes you from the  buzz of the city to the peace of the forest with a myriad of sights, sounds and tastes to experience - but do leave some space in your suitcase as there are a lot of lovely things to tempt you to take home as reminders of your trip!" - Joanna, A Journey to Women's Empowerment: South India 2018.

“Travelling with other customers to witness first hand the beautiful women who make Secret Projects was a privilege. Forget about giving to the makers for they gave us so much more: friendship, enthusiasm, laughter, love, humility and a window into their world. India has left such  an impression on me from the hectic cities to the lush jungles, I loved it from the minute I arrived until the minute I left. I will be back” - Lesley, A Journey to Women's Empowerment: South India 2018.

"What an experience my trip to South India was! Meeting the Makers at their various levels of empowerment all smiling, telling us their stories and some welcoming us to their homes was most humbling. Sharing with the first Maker to open her own shop was a privilege. Visiting schools and villages and other centres, seeing children’s smiling, curious faces and joy for life, so uplifting. At one school the children sang and danced for us! 💕 So many magical experiences all in such a short time: staying in the rainforest, meeting amazing people everyday, Adventure Ashram, visiting the market, the girls school and training centre, joining with like-minded ladies on this journey ... these were all highlights for me. A trip of a life time" - Sally, A Journey to Women's Empowerment: South India 2018.
