Block Print Scarves

Block printing is one of the many ancient art forms of India. Hand carved wood blocks are dipped in dye and stamped onto cotton or silk to create patterns. It is a slow process requiring great skill and patience, and it yields beautiful unique results.

The scarves in this collection are made from hand block printed cotton from the city of Jaipur in the northern state of Rajasthan.
